A group of civilised teenagers was asked to leave McDonald’s after bringing cutlery and candles to the restaurant.
Cameron Ford and Adam Welland were out enjoying a posh meal in the fast food restaurant in Kingston, only to be disturbed for bringing atmospheric extras including a tablecloth, fake candles, wine glasses and even an improvised table centrepiece made out of straws.
Staff disapproved of the ambiance, however, and more specifically customers bringing in their own cutlery. The teenagers tweeted that they had been warned ‘leave or your [sic] banned’.
The schoolboys thought their choice of cutlery was inoffensive and remain baffled as to why they were asked to leave.
Adam tweeted: ‘It was just the standard knives and forks. Clearly we were planning to take over the whole of McDonald’s, so they had to stop that.’
Friend William Peachey tweeted a picture of their pair enjoying the meal and at the time thought they were going to be thrown out.
But the group of teens managed to stay in the restaurant after the staff member who quizzed them was overruled by other employees and apparently even customers.
