The 36-year-old is listed in the Guinness World Records for having the largest trainer collection in the world.
But it seems even that addiction wears thin after a while.
For having spent 14 years amassing 2,504 of the brand’s shoes, he has decided to sell them on eBay.
‘My first names are Jordan Michael, so it was written in the stars for me to love sneakers,’ he said. ‘I love Nike, I always have done.
‘My love of sneakers comes from my dad. He used to run marathons when I was younger and would take me to sneaker shops and teach me all about the Nikes. I can’t think of a reason that I would ever wear a pair of adidas – unless I was forced to choose between adidas and Reebok.’
The collection became so large he opened his own shoe-seum in Las Vegas where he lives.
He has a pair designed in honour of the 1980s Michael J Fox film Teen Wolf but his other ‘best pair’ are Nike Air Max 97s. That’s because they were one of the first to have a heel air bubble.
But two pairs won’t be sold. ‘I have a pair of [Olympian] Steve Prefontaine track spikes and a pair of Game Worn Air Jordan 1s that I’ll be holding on to,’ he added.
